Meet the Team Organising the Conference!
CoirilidhI’m Coirilidh and I’m a Stage 2 Events Management student here at RGU. I chose to study events because I have always enjoyed attending large scale events and been fascinated by the work and organisation that goes on behind the scenes to make them happen. I hope to work and develop my knowledge and expertise in this field further. I am most looking forward to hearing from our industry speakers at the conference to gain an insight and new perspective into T.H.E industries.

EmmaHi, I am Emma, I am a second year Events Management student at RGU. I have always been interested in working in the creative and cultural industries as well as to meet new people and develop my skills when organising different events. Some events I would be most interested in managing in the future would be artistic events such as theatre, cultural or music events. For our Take T.H.E Leap Conference I am most looking forward to hearing from our speakers and their expertise and experience working in the industry. I believe they will be very insightful and interesting to listen to and engage with.

KittyHi, I’m Kitty, I chose to study Events Management after going to the London Commonwealth Games and being taken back by how everything was taking place on the day and how such a large-scale event has so many hands that help in all different areas to make it work! In the future I am looking towards working in the sports events industry or having my own wedding business as an event planner. At the conference I am most looking forward to the final product and how my team can work together to ensure the speakers and attendees have an amazing day!

LisaMy name is Lisa – I chose to study Events Management after attending festivals and after working at one of the world’s largest and most known festivals, Glastonbury, I decided to leave school and pursue it as a career as I wanted to be involved somehow in bringing the happy experiences that someone helped me to have by holding festivals and music events – I had a few setbacks and challenges on the way but decided after a couple of years out of study to restart my dream after the pandemic. One of the things I am most looking forward to about the conference is allowing everyone the opportunity to attend an event in person and help rebuild physical connections with people in general as well as their connections to business and the T.H.E industries to get the world back to normality.
