On Monday 21st November we are organising a module trip for Leisure Tourism to Peterhead Prison Museum. This visit leads on from our lecture on dark and heritage tourism.
The trip will include:
- Coach travel from RGU to Peterhead Prison Museum, and back to RGU.
- An audio tour around Peterhead Prison Museum
- A workbook and discussion with academic staff to contextualise the lecture on dark and heritage tourism
- An opportunity to chat to the staff at Peterhead Museum about the 'behind the scenes' running of the heritage site
Please note that the cafe at Peterhead Prison Museum is closed for the winter and there are no shops close to the museum. As such, please bring any drinks/ snacks with you. The museum can also be very cold and does include some outdoor walking (although minimal) so please wrap up warm!
Due to the nature of this trip this is not suitable for children. As such, children will not be allowed to accompany parents on this trip. If this may cause issues with childcare, please contact your Head of Year to discuss.
