Join Sandy as he outlines the key aspects of the long-term Aberdeen City Centre development Masterplan. This ambitious project aims to reflect the changing needs and priorities of the city's residents, businesses, and visitors. Sandy will provide the rationale for the masterplan, an overview of the current state of development, discuss some of the issues and challenges the project continues to face and look ahead to future developments within the ambitions of the masterplan. There will be an opportunity for attendees to question Sandy or provide your own views and opinions on the future of Aberdeen City Centre.

Sandy Beattie

Sandy has 29 years of local government experience and is former board member of Architecture and Design Scotland. He has ten years of leading on the masterplanning design and conservation team, complementary to the development planning and management teams within the Aberdeen City Council planning service.
Sandy is now responsible for developing key city centre components of the City Centre and Beach Masterplan, including an extensive public realm improvements programme and redevelopment of key sites such as Queen Street. When not masterplanning, Sandy is also passionate about football and classic rock music. |
